Qualities of good Text Book
1. Promoting
Islamic ideology
(A book always reflects the different
aspects of life so it must have content that always should be link with Islamic
examples). E.g. Islam has five elements. Total names of Allah are 99. Etc
2. Developing
social understanding
(As we observe that whole chapter is
related to the one topic like algebra, similarly a good text book always
explain number of experiences or number of students or any problem related the
total calculation of the school or organization, more over there should be the
indication of traffic rules or total languages spoken in Pakistan)
3. Promoting
maximum personal development
(As how much sensation power of human
beings, good knowledge gives good confidence, research habit, how to live in
society with limited limitations)
4. Providing
educational aims
( as we count the period of age for job,
goals of life, number of experiences, number of certificates, particular skills
etc )
5. Maintaining
a balance among all the goals
(All chapters should have equal syllabus,
appropriate time allocation, and suitable resources for the students)
6. Involving
the pupils in the learning experience
(Different activities should be inculcated
into the syllabus, as we do exercises at the end of the chapter or the topic,
during any test we can check the loyalty and interest of the student)
7. Using
effective learning experiences
(If we give this problem to the pupils to
find out that how many students can sit in our class room, this will create
automatically this experience that one can select any room for class conduct or
any discussion)
8. Providing
practice in the required behavior
(It provides good practice over the same
topic to have good command)
9. Causing
satisfaction in desired behavior
(Practice gives satisfaction that we can
solve different questions other than this exercise or syllabus)
10. Achieving
the specified objectives smoothly
(Gradually school gives full understanding
to the students keeping them experts in all contents)
11. Keeping
desired reactions within the possibility range of the students
(Books always maintained according to the
level of the students, we can not teach integration to the student of 4th or
5th class)
